Teams of dogs guided by mushers aged from five to 85 (approximately) race over a variety of courses starting at 9 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Dogs of all sizes and breeds compete in weight pulling contests beginning at 2 pm. Chili cook-off on Saturday at noon. Also, sleigh rides, dog sled rides, entertainment, vendors, and crafts. The last Saturday in April will be the 71st anniversary of the National Trout Festival. There is a carnival, craft show, car show, a flea market, games, horse shoe throwing tournament, fishing, parades, entertainment and a model plane air show.
