    THE PROUD VETERANS PIG RUN THE PROUD VETERANS MOTORCYCLE CLUB IS HOSTING A PIG ROAST AND POKER RUN ON JULY 21st The event will be held at the Freemont township hall on the corner of Nelson and Hemlock roads in Hemlock Mi. Registration and tickets at the door starts at 11:00 A.M. PIG ROAST Dinner will start at 5:00 pm and will include pig, (roasted by “have pig will travel”) hot dogs, slaw, potato salad, beans, cake and beverages. Tickets for the meal and party are $10.00 each and may be purchased at the door or by mail. The band Foley Loaded will start at 6 PM and play until 10 PM. Party is over at midnight. If ya got a guitar you wanna pluck, bring it along. Liquor will not be served BYO. POKER RUN Poker run registration stats at 11:AM. First bike out at 1:00 last bike out at 2:00 last bike in by 4:30pm. Poker run tickets are $10.00 per bike. Ist, 2nd, 3rd and last place will be awarded. Poker hands turned in after 4:30 are void.     All routes begin and end at the high school, 525 E. Genesee St, in Frankenmuth. The route winds out of the Bavarian Village along the Cass River, across the lush farmlands of Saginaw Valley. The roads are good for bicycling and are mostly flat with a few hills for variety. (989) 652-2557

    Bavarian Festival is not just an event...it's a feeling, a spirit, a happy mood combined with the warmth and friendship of Michigan's Little Bavaria. The Bavarian Festival has been voted "Top 5 Festivals in the State of Michigan" by AAA's Michigan Living Magazine. Visitors of all ages are invited to hear Bavarian music played by authentically dressed German bands, watch two outstanding parades, enjoy an expanded midway with rides and games and enjoy exciting dance music in our Harvey Kern Pavilion. Saturday's Kinder Tag (Kid's Day) is sure to have something for children of all ages. Participate in face painting, or simply take in the hands-on craft area. Taste buds are tempted to their limit with a variety of delicious German foods and desserts. And to top it all off, plenty of refreshing ice-cold beer - Imported and Domestic! Each year, over 100,000 people enjoy the annual Sunday Big Parade, which is being held on June 15th, 2008. This year's parade is no different - it will feature over 100 entries which will include marching bands, beautifully decorated floats, dance clubs, visiting dignitaries, entertainers, royalty and our newly crowned Bavarian Princess and her Court. The Sunday parade provides a wonderful beginning to a fun packed day at Heritage Park where all the festival events and entertainment are held - Free admission for the day! 800-386-3378
